marzman Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Hey All, I've finally had enough of my alarm - it was on the car when i bought it. The problem is i have to be within 3 feet of the engine bay in order for the key fob to unlock the car!! That means if im at the boot and want to open it, i have to walk round to the front of the car first - its ridiculous!! I've replaced the batteries in both key fobs and its still the same... does anyone know if these systems have an ariel in them or something? Is there any way for it to receive the signal from further away?? ...it didnt bother me that much until a guy from work opened his crappy citroen from like 40 yards away yesterday Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mate, my neighbors must think im bonkers cos every night i've got the fob to my head - sometimes opening my mouth in an attempt to amplify the signal further... Worked on my old cars but not this....
