matth76
Hi I would like to have an after market integrated sat nav fitted to the cubby hole where the oem sat nav would normally go. Paying £1k-£2k to have the factory sat nav fitted is too expensive. I don't want a portable sat nav. So am on the look out for compatible makes of integrated sat navs that can be fitted to the connections at the back of the cubby hole. Has anyone done this before and if so which make (and part number) did you go for and how much was it to get fitted? I've done lots of searching on this and found very little on the subject. Thanks for any help.

matth76
Looks VERY nice but looks expensive. How much was it? Good integrated sat navs can be had for £200-300 (plus fitting) so really looking to pay that kind of price.

matth76
Cheers Martin. Looks interesting. Does your Pioneer still allow you to control the volume using the buttons on the steering wheel and does it have bluetooth connectivity? If you can find out how much it was and how much to get fitted I'd be interested to know more. Also, separate question - I have a bluetooth phone and I'm positive the dealer told me I could have it all handsfree using bluetooth and I could control the volume with the volume buttons on the steering wheel. DO I need a bluetooth adapter in the phone cradle area? The car I am picking up next weekend is a 2005 GT model.

rtbiscuit
i'm fitting the pioneer f500 bt in my cubby, have a search in here for the thread. it actually fits in my cubby without any mods, it sort of sits between the door andf the entrance, but my long term goal is to integrate it into the stereo. but i need time to dismantle the dash, and make a new back section. once i have a mould sorted i can make themn for others. but i don't think i'll get a start on it auntil at least half term
