nixy
how was I to know my street had turned into this when I came home from France in the middle of the night............ If you look closely you can see my abandoned car in the distance on the verge. Brings back terrible flash backs having only driven it twice! Maccaman
Nixy, if the boots or shoes got messed up you could have put them on ebay, like that one you found before. Would have fetched good money as it would be genuine English muck.

nixy
I was in France during the floods in summer 2007. Had only just got car after 3 month wait for it to come on ship from Japan. Drove car twice before I went on holiday and then when I got back from airport drove car home in dark - splashed through a couple of puddles no problem. Last puddle was a little larger.............. it had happened overnight while the whole village was asleep and I was unfortunately the first victim! Gutted doesn't even cover my emotions! I thought it was going to be dead!
