breay
Hi guys, Quick question for you, any one know the best shift point for the Zed? I know the shift light is set to around 6500rpm but if you were giving it some beans where would the optimum rpm be with regards to torque etc? drewbie
From memory torque tails off after 5500rpm, so I guess that would be the optimum change point if correct. Shift light can be adjusted, mines set at 5800rpm but to be honest I can't really see it when I'm going for it as I am concentrating on what's going on through the windscreen. A beep would be better. Stew
What car you got? 276, 296 or 309? The curves are different for them all! What am I saying, I just change when I think I need to!
breay
276 but with a few bits under the bonnet like plenum spacer and intake so i guess the torque would be different compared to standard any way
Stew
Well my car is quite loud so I short shift 90% of the time. The rest I just change when my ears ring!
