TDI
Hi Sorry if this has been mentioned before The new HKS low compression pistons and high performance steel connecting rods are now in stock. The prices are yet to be confirmed and should be available any time now. Mark
Traktion
I don't know much about engine internals modding, but I assume that this means you can push the engine harder (more torque/bhp) without it going pop? How much would it cost to get the upgrades fitted and what sort of figures could they take? Questions, questions!
TDI
I don't know much about engine internals modding, but I assume that this means you can push the engine harder (more torque/bhp) without it going pop? That's exactly right Traktion How much would it cost to get the upgrades fitted and what sort of figures could they take? Questions, questions! I don't know for sure what the power handling capabilities of these parts are, but I am confident that they are well within the power potential of this engine for the forseeable future (not sure about other components of the engine though), assuming that correct engine managements parameter calibration has taken place. Regarding costings, it depends on where you have the installation done. It will be relatively costly for a firm like ourselves to do it (if you discount the added value of our superior delivery and technical expertise profiles), but some may say that this is money well spent. Alternatively there are plenty of 350Z specialists in the UK that may be able to do it cheaper than us. I will be happy to provide an estimate by PM if needed. Please let me know. Thanks PS, it is cheaper to have it done before an engine failure (saves the cost of a cylinder block, sump and any other damaged components). Traktion
Thanks for the info TDI! My setup is still close to stock, so I'm not going to be upgrading this sort of thing any time soon. I have pondered taking the FI route a number of times though and it'd be nice to have the added comfort of these upgrades too.
