Chris s
I'm not sure.... would that produce a whistling sound over certain speeds?
M13KYF
well the fuel pump is more like a electronic whine than whistle. Its noticable from inside the car. Tonneau cover helps to lesten the whine but maybe your noise is something else.
Chris s
I guess that could be the sound I'm hearing.... it does only appear when I'm 40 - 50mph. Is that something ties in with the fuel pump noise?
Chris s
Still suffering from the noise, and it does seem to be related to the temperature. It is most evident when cold outside.... has anyone else found the source of the whilstling / whining?
Chris s
Well I have despartely been trying to find out the cause of this whistling noise and in my searches I came across the following link http://www.my350z.com/forum/maintenance ... -cold.html It seems to be exactly the same problem I've been facing ... I'm no mechanic but they seem to be saying that it's to do with the transmission and more precisely the throwout bearing and / or the pilot bushing, does anyone know anything about this?? Dragonball
Just noticed this on mine very slightly I thought it sounded transmission based - but not consistant
