had ham Posted January 9, 2009 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Damn fine attempt - Maki rolls look almost professional! Love sushi - sashimi even more. Lived in Tokyo for 3 years (working for Nissan in Ginza/Atsugi) and got a taste (as you do) for it. Now work in Soho, so tend to have sushi carry-out for lunch most days. Mrs H H is a chef by trade, and qualified as a sushi chef (including a certification as a Fugu chef - very rare for 'gaijin') when we lived there, and she's taught me.
