seano16
I know a lot of people have problems with their systems but none seem to have this one...i have trawled through the previous posts! Mine was working perfectly up until a week ago when i took the car to a jet wash. When i got back in the car, it was all misted up inside (i mean the windscreen was almost dripping wet!) Anyway, since then the CD player doesnt work...when i put a disc in it just sasy 'Check Disc'. I am assuming this may be due to the moisture that got in when wasching the car. Anyone know how i can fix this? I've had a couple of long drives with the heater on and it still hasnt cured it.
H5
It's not the heater you need as much - it's the air conditioning. Air con de-humidifies the air so will be better at getting the cabin moisture free.
seano16
Thanks H5. I'll try that tomorrow!
treadmill
If you can take the head unit out, it may be worth doing so, and putting it somewhere warm for a few days. I once had a similar problem in my trendy MkII Astra. I stuck it next to the Aga my mum had for a couple of days (she was away). I did the same thing with ECU too, honest. Both worked afterwards... Shame the car was awful.
