Bird View Sat Nav Question

The birdview sat nav has a cd player running the sat disc, can that play music cds or mp4,avi files as well?

 

Anyone who has checked the back for the bird view screen, can you split the video in to add a DVD player for example then be able to switch between the bird view and external dvd player?

 

just an idea.. so instead of taking out the original screen and unit i can add a small dvd player running a few bits!

I am also curious about this, I have the birds view nav too, if I took out the nav DVD from the player behind the passenger seat and put it any other dvd would it play on my birds view screen?

Has any one got pictures of the rear of the bird view screen or the back of the cd drive int he glove box?

Has any tried inserting music or AVI cds into the drive?

im sure you could easily try running a different dvd in the unit, its only a map disk as far as im aware o should be ok, it will probably come up with an error or unkown as you pre load the program with a different disk. im guessing the bird view program is running and looking for maps so you would nee to bypass that also, but i dont know where that is running from - probably the drive. let us know how you get on.
