neil2185
Hello, I have noticed that the heated seats on my zed arnt that hot, mine is a 55 and the 07 I test drove was the same, compaired to my mates R32 which practically burn your bum off on the hottest setting? Anyone else agree or is it just mine and if so any quick fix ideas? Also just only had my zed a week and just wanna say I am loving this forum, much better than any for other cars I have owned
Rentech
Hi, Yes I agree. Mines just seems to make your bum slightly warm. Think it's the same on all. There a few other threads around with similar findings
TheOracle
Mine are just the same. My Audi TT used to burn my arse.

MITZ@CougarStore
My heated seats take a while to heat up, but once heated they’re quite hot. Its shame we didn’t have a setting feature instead of a 2 setting switch , so we could control the heat temperature...
phoenix
I have an 08 plate and i agree.
Jay
My jdm 03 is actually pretty gd! Keeps my backside warm during the winter
Toon Chris
My 'half' setting is quite warm but the 'full' setting doesn't get much better. It is like it cuts out as it thinks it is too hot. Is there a safety cut-off in the circuit? Maybe it's faulty (on the safe side) but can be replaced to allow the seat to burn my ass?
neodc
when i first got the car, they got really hot, both of them, as in the passenger used to ask to turn them off. then one day i used them, and its like there not turned on for 10 mins, and u get burts of warmth out of them, i was cleaning under the seats with a hoover, maybe i caught a wire, but they both are doing it. mc
Its like the thermostat has too much deadband on it or something, seems to cool for too long before heating up again

Ebized
They get warm enough for me but just a shame it takes a little while to do so. Has anyone else noticed that if you don't sit on them they don't seem to heat up? When I have left the engine running as I scrape ice off the windows, and having switched the seat heating on, when I get in hoping to sit on a warm seat, it isn't. Guess I'll have to hang around outside in the cold longer
rtbiscuit
my back gets quite warm, but the seat doesn't just a minor anoyance. maybe when next winter comes round i will have had some time to dismantle it and find out why.

Cara
Yep the seat itself should heat up too. I have to admit that I love the heated seats, but not quite hot enough to my liking either. Mines normally is just getting nice and toasty then it goes and switches itself off for a while
M13KYF
I should imagine that the R32 ones are the same as the Audi TT which if they are, their very good in comparison to the Z
