rtbiscuit
depends where in the country you are! i'm on the east coast in ipswich. we pay roughly 92.9p for 95 ron 97.9 for 97 ron 99.9 for 98 ron thats pence per litre not sure how many litres to the gallon for a conversion. but its a lot more that the US pay. and 70% of that is tax

Id have to fill up when i used a 1/4 of a tank so i wouldnt feel bad lol.
Stew
Our gallons are 4.5 litres! We don't use US gallons. The price has come down from £1.30 something per litre.... and that's when it was $2 to £1!
madwi
^ wow, id cry. P.s. told you id screw up that math
Stew
3.785 is a US gallon. 4.5 is a UK gallon. Nothing wrong with the maths, just the wrong side of the pond!
madwi
lol. I often wonder why I still live here...then i see your gas prices
rtbiscuit
he needed to work to a US gallon to see how much we pay compared to him. if he calculated it to a uk gallon it would be the wrong conversion
madwi
comes out to $6.70 per UK gallon...id need a second job lol im going to stop doing math now...I work third shift and its bed time lol.
Stew
True but it was as much to raise the point that the gallon conversion was different to a UK gallon to members on this side of the pond. A lot of people don't know there is a difference! As I said, nothing wrong with the maths!

bronzee
Meanwhile at the completely opposite end of the pond...... our petrol has gone down 70 cents a litre in the last month. Makes a massive difference, we're down to about $1.57 a litre now, even with our dollar suffering against the US currency our petrol is purchased in.
