Dragun
yep it is andy, but it worked fine when came out the garage :S I take it you had the same problem?
Andy
The extra weight will be your problem, same thing happened to mine. You need to get some uprated struts.
Dragun
ok cool, thanks....where can i buy them from?
Andy
I have a feeling Phil was doing some so he's probably your best bet as a first call
Andy
Get some pics up with the spoiler btw!!
Pingu2
yep got mine from Phil the cold weather at the moment probably affecting the struts!
Chris`I
When you had it fitted did they remove the counter weight in the boot lid? If not, get that removed, then look at uprated struts.
Dragun
Sweet guys thanks a lot! Yeah the guys had a lot of problems fitting the spoiler apparently. They had to sand down most of it because it wudnt fit flat etc. It looks awesome on the car, i love it but looking closely u can see the issues they had as fitment isnt perfect.......nothing but trouble with this spoiler but as long as people loof from afar they wont notice the bad bits lol. Ill get some pics up when i fitted the dials so hopefully satuday Chris I, they didnt remove it. Is it something i can do? If so any guides or how to's? Thanks
Pingu2
yes you can do it - you need to take off some boot trim and then you can just undo the counterweight with a spanner ... search should bring up images !
Lexx
Do a quick search in the Guides sections. Sure there is a guide on it already. Bsaically you just need to remove the trim off the bootlid, and unscrew the counter-weight from its position.
Chris`I
Yup as the others have said, its dead easy. Go careful on the trim pieces, the clips can be broken pretty easily. Just take it easy, find where the clips are (in service manual) and pry them away.
