sl114
Hey all, i test drove a 500 yesterday and have to say i was very impressed, for town use its going to be perfect in my eyes. Anyway, i am going to be placing the order in the next 2 weeks so scouting for insurance quotes. Does anyone have any recomendations for cheap quotes that may specialise in people with no No Claims Discount and a second driver who has only been driving for a year? So far, i have got quotes from Direct Line (£915) and Admiral (£680)

You just add it in elsewhere! I will also try Chris Knott insurance later and see what they can do for me.

I dont want that to be honest, i just need a car that will get me too and from work, be the cheapest to run and be safe, but big enough to get my little one in the back if i want to take us to the beach in summer. tmJak
Have you tried the comparison sites like moneysupermarket? Joking aside, you'll prob find Sheilas Wheels are quite cheap, they were second cheapest to Sainsbury's for me And just in case it hasn't already been covered enough, European Gay Car of the Year !!! sl114
I have tried that and got a low quote from Admiral. on that note: Fiat 500: 122 points Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione: 83 points Volvo C30: 53 points Aston Martin DBS: 42 points Aston Martin V8 Vantage: 37 points. If they have a DBS and 8C in the top 5 gayest cars in Europe, they must be a very reliable source of knowledge in these things

SunsetZed
i've always found elephant spot on. If you end up looking at Admiral & Elephant then pay the extra £15 and go with Admiral over Elephant, if your car gets written off you'll get far more for your car with Admiral than Elephant
