Spen
Hi all, Picking up my Z this saturday so just hoping the rain stays away! It's an 05 coupe in gunmetal with rays and black interior I've been looking at them for a while and having a read of the forum for things to look out for. Just a quick question since today it was -1 degrees and my locks/doors and windows were all frozen solid on my old car. What actually happens with the Z with regards to the windows being frozen and them automatically dropping when the door is opened?? any tips/tricks or info would be appreciated with the weather seemingly getting worse. Cheers

SunsetZed
I can top the rain, the day after I got mine I drove Bristol - London in a Blizzard! Based on this morning what happens is that you use lots of cold water on the top of the door where the window meets the roof and the same around the handle and then hey presto you'll be in within 5 minutes. Start the engine let it all warm up and while that's happening do the same on the electric mirrors and then you'll be able to fold them out as well! Trev-the-Rev
Yes I agree that pouring cold or luke-warm water over the top of the side windows should prevent them from sticking.

S1 HNK
had this problem before, basically if you heat it up the window wont drop but aslong as you dont slam the door shut its not a problem. enjoy the motor and welcome
