Trev-the-Rev
I plan to ride the storm. Sensible values will return but it's likely to take a year or two.
RobD7
I presume Monaro's are suffering in price even more than the z so great opportunity for a bargain I presume!?

Rob_Quads
There just offering that as they know they can turn that round, sell it really quickly at 8K and make 2K with no work.
Argyll
There was an interesting article in the Scottish Daily Record newspaper a few weeks ago that my dad showed me. It said the 350z was the 7th most unpopular car for trade ins. I'd have to agree with the previous poster to ride the storm. The prices will settle down (I hope)
tmJak
Problem is though, its not like house prices when they fall and then rise again, car prices don't rise again. Think I'm stuck with mine till I pay it off - not the end of the world
Trev-the-Rev
Problem is though, its not like house prices when they fall and then rise again, car prices don't rise again. In my experience when an economy starts to recover and demand increases, prices for desirable used vehicles will also start to rise. I'm not suggesting that they will go back to what they were, but they will increase to some extent.

Regrettably, the Zed is not such a desirable used vehicle or prices would not have collapsed to the extent they have, even with the tax/fuel issue. IMHO the best that can be hoped for is that prices settle and hold for a while. I'll be delighted but gob-smacked if they rise at all. Totally agree digs, the only saving grace is that all car prices have fallen so what i am going to buy next will have lost money aswell

Only something like a mint Ferrari 355 and the like, may ever increase.
rmmackfc
Owning one of these 6.0L beasts, I can confirm that Monaro prices are not good either. Can't understand why nobody wants a v8 when petrol prices are falling At the end of the day you are trading like for like, a big engined car for another big engined car, that would be my arguement. The only thing about the Monaro is that it could be a future classic with limited imports and the fact that it has been replaced with the VXR8. Jump on to http://www.hsv.org.uk/ if you are looking for any info or maybe someone will do a swap with you for cash.
