Race Valeting
Yesterday I had a lovely 08 plate Nissan 350z dropped off ready for a full correction detail topped off with some Dodo supernatural. The owner has only had the car for 5 weeks now and the state it left the dealerships was terrible covered in holograms/swirls/scratches you name it this car had it and with only just over 3k on the clock has to be the worst condition for its age I've seen. Heres some before pics (Not too dirty just the paintwork a mess!!!) Anyway got up around 8 this morning to get started with the washing of the car. Firstly the wheels were cleaned with some g101 and a selection of brushes, the tyres and arches were also cleaned using g101 Before: During: Next up was to clean the engine bay/door shuts/boot jam/badges Befores: Afters: All these were cleaned using a swissvax style brush and some g101. Next stage was a pre-wash to remove the loose dirt. next up was a foam using some g101 to help remove some of the dealer protection The car was then rinsed and wash using 2bm and some megs golds class shampoo, then rinsed ready for claying. Claying stage for this I used some new siwssvax mild clay Before: After drivers wing and door: The car was then re-washe dand dried using miracle towel and some last touch as a drying aid. Next up was taping the car up ready for machining, for this I used some blue 3m 25mm tape. Now time to inspect the paint properly and take some reading with the ptg. On average the paint was between 100-125 but some places like on the bonnet by the scratch is was down to 90 were they had tried rubbing the scratch away without polishing the marks away. The car had the stone chip protector film on the front edge on the bonnet and bumper and wings. 50/50 Corrected pics: Once all the correction was finished I then quiclky dusted the car down and then cleansed the paint using some dodo lime prime via the pc and a new yellow 3m glossing pad. Heres some pics of it so far I quickly dressed the tyres with some CG new look trim gel for the pics. Now all thats left is a quick wipe down in the morning and 2 coats of supernatural and then a quick hoover and dress the engine bay. Now some finished shots with 2 coats of supernatural Im very happy with the finsh so far should look even slicker tomorrow when she has a couple of coats of SN on. The interior was then hoovered and the seats cleaned/conditioned using some Zaino leather in a bottle, the plastics were dressed using some poorboys natural look dressing. Thanks for looking Paul
