andlid
Hi Guys, Thought I'd share some very unexpected results of a bit of my performance tuning. What I got on standard dyno: Nissan 350z 2003 JPM Import Apexi drop in filter Running Texaco petrol ( ) Pulled: 265 on the flywheel... Current setup on dyno: Nissan 350z 2003 JPM Import Apexi drop in filter Pure Plenum Spacer kit (well worth the buck!) Haltech Platinum 350Z (deadly) Maxol E5 () Pulled: 323 on the flywheel! Can't wait to pick the car up from the tuner! (and put in an order for a new set of rear tyres) Got the after dyno sheet, I'll post that now need to take a photo or something of the before one note: before is with base haltech map
3FIDDYZ
Good numbers mate, you seem to have a drop off though at 230 on the new numbers, but then it pics up. Worth throwing it up on my350z to see what they think You mind sharing who tuned it and what you paid for the haltech and fitting?

IanS
Nice one, is the Haltech plug and play or is it a mod of your existing ecu?
andlid
Nice one, is the Haltech plug and play or is it a mod of your existing ecu? http://www.haltech.com/350zplatinum.htm It piggy backs onto the standard ECU and leaves the dashboard think ABS also to the standard ECU, rest is handled by the Haltech ECU
Chris`I
Nice one, is the Haltech plug and play or is it a mod of your existing ecu? I beleive it is a plug and play system, in that it sits between the ECU and the rest of the system, utilising the OEM connectors. Adam@Z1 has always rated them I beleive. Always been a bit to expensive for what you get BHP/£ wise, but then if we now have a tuner who has base maps, I guess the cost would fall. Chris`I
deadly where did you get that?! Could reload maps on the fly!!! Check out MP3car.com - theres plenty of threads over there on 350z installs, including Leemiks and Pingu's. You do it all yourself. Build a small PC, or use a laptop like me, and then wire it all in. Get a 7" screen and install it into the cubby space.

They have done work for me in the past and more is due soon... will post my numbers and let you know! Was thinking of asking him to do a dyno day as part of the london to brighton run in November... 3FIDDYZ
Read your post on the US forum, good praise on the numbers Guessing the haltech will be about £1200ish here + tuning so about £1700?? £80ish per HP? Trying to justify that one in my head!
