NWZ
Hi all, Anybody have a step by step guide with photos on how to fit a cold air intake (preferably K&N), I bought a ful cold intake with pipes and wouldn't mind some photos if anybody took the trouble to do this. It's got the blue bling pipe with carbon fibre cover I've read the K&N guide but it recommends removing the splash guard and I am thinking I'll need ramps to do this? I'm hoping to fit this tomorrow before the Bala run - so please help me out ! As usual all help appreciated - ta.
xStric9x
Is this the one which sits behind the front grill? If so just be careful with deepish puddles bud...aqualock Sorry have no pics as mine is a popcharger
Stew
You could invest in an injen hydroshield. Chris at JDM performance does them. Possibly other traders too.
Stew
Oh and you shouldn't need ramps to remove the splash guard. An axle stand would help though I think!
NWZ
Yes Mike it is...nothing is simple...what is aqualock...google here I come...
Chris`I
Doesnt the filter live in the box? In that case you wont get hydrolock as air will come in the box rather than the water up the tube. Other CAI are more prone as the filter itself actually sits in the bumper. Should be ok in this case
NWZ
Yes it does, I have 2 blue pipes, 1 cone k&n filter, 1 box with 2 pipes (where the filter lives) & what looks like a carbon fibre cover - sorry if I sound noob... It is one of these http://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?ID=
xStric9x
Just wasn't sure if the cone sat behind the grill or in the box where the oem filter sits
