Guest prescience
Oil pressure will vary depending on how many miles your car has covered since the last oil change. Oil pressure will also read higher when the car is cold. (see links in FAQ 'What engine oil should I use?'). However, as a general rule of thumb and when the car is warm, the oil pressure will typically be ~30psi (the first mark on the gauge) and at 70mph cruise ~60psi (the centre mark) In fact, at idle the Nissan Service Manual specifies a minimum acceptable pressure of 14psi, but that is generally considered by owners to be too low.
