cgomez1978
Hi everyone just wondering if any body has been through the same situation im going through at the moment or does anybody know where i stand legally. I bought my 53 plate jdm from a dealer 3 months ago had a problem with a clicking noise when braking lightly so took it back, on the third attempet they fixed it after threating them with court. 3 months later the clicking noise is back so i took it to a performance car specialist who have told me the car has been crash repaired has a bent chassis, has already been on a jig and repaired badly, not road worthy and will cost at least 5-6 grand to put right ive only had the car for 3 months.the car came with 12 months MOT as well ive contacted trading standards about being sold a unroad-worthy car and informed my finance company. trading standards are going to contact me within 5 days and i have to send the report to my finance company. has anybody been through the same situation or heard of the same sort of thing happining to someone else as i really havent got a clue about this sort of thing. any help in this matter wiil be grately appreciated. Thanks
dandan118
That is bad news, sorry to hear that. Did the garage you purchased your 350z from do the MOT work themselves? Did you get any warranty/ guarantee with the car? Are you the first owner since the car has arrived in the UK? Who imported the car for you & what grade did they state the car was? cgomez1978
the MOT was done by the father of the person who sold it to the car dealers i bought it off i took warranty out on the car but that was with a third party company called motorplan. the finance company are now going to start talks with the dealer i am going to try and reject the car as it is not roadworthy and try and get a refund

Scrag Meister
That is a pain in the butt. Hope you get it resolved, but when you do there are some bargains to be had. Just bought a Black UK GT 06 21k miles with some nice extras Sat NAV, Stainless HKS Exhaust, JWT Popcharger, for 16k. Very pleased, hope you can do the same soon. sunset350z
This is a bad situation to be in Carl, but it should get sorted out. Did you buy the car from a reputable garage? if so, it would be in their own interest to offer you a full refund. Just mention the words "WATCHDOG", "X-RAY" and "THE FERRET" if they give you a bit of grief. Publicity will be their worst enemy if they want to stay in business. I just hope this doesn't put you off getting another zed. Good luck mate.

Trev-the-Rev
Hope you get it sorted out ok. It may also be worth contacting the Motor Agents Association if the supplier is a member as they have a fairly strict code of conduct. nixy
best of luck with it - who was the dealer?
cgomez1978
the dealer wasnt a nissan one, its still a massive dealership in the south wales area though probably the biggest one in cardiff . black horse have given them 7 days to get back to them with an answer. the woman on the phone said they will probably settle they have never known a dealer to go through court they always settle before so with any luck i should find out next week, and then ill get a black roadster if i can or if i cant find one it will have to be a coupe. Does anybody know how i would stop it from happening too someone else because i reckon if they take the car back they will try and sell it on to someone else which i really woldnt want to happen ill post the full registration on here but apart from that im not sure what else i could do. any ideas
