jonah
Hi guys, My budget is £10k. What can i expect for this. What year and mileage would i be able to get. I think it may have to be an import? What does everyone think? Just need to know whether or not to scrap my plan of getting a 350Z Thanks Paul
Digsy
Definitely import or super-high mileage (100k+) on a UK car. How about this as an idea? http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16193 or http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12901
lilsheepshagga_turbo
hiya m8... just having a quick look through pistonheads... your looking at 2002-2003 imports with about 60,000 miles on the clock...not alot to choose from aswell... what worries me when some1 comes into this with a budget in mind is...yes u can afford a 10 grand car but can u afford the 30 grand car running costs... ie fuel, tax, insurance and servicing?? -ho
tmJak
there was an 03 import on here with 60k for just under 10k. Check the for sale forum
Digsy
Sorted for you, Chris. This is a nice one:- http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/584926.htm
jonah
Yeah can afford the running costs not a probem. The trouble is it looks like the cheapest uk ones are around 13 or 14k. Quite a jump. May have to just keep my eye out for a good import. My other option is a 406 coupe V6. Same running costs but less than half the price. (but maybe half the car aswell)
Sarnie
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/616558.htm And a nice black uk GT that the owner is willing to let go for £11K: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/660589.htm

There are quite alot on autotrader for under 10k, you just need to decide what your requirements are. You may get a full spec jap car with low mileage for the same price of a basic UK with high mileage. Just depends on your needs really. jonah
yeah just waying up the pros and cons of an import. Will keep looking. Am leaning towards a full spec import to be honest and getting a low mileage one. The black one looks nice but i read the 350 gets a lot of stone chips on the front and these would drive me crazy on a black car. saw a 350Z on autotrader in Chilslehurst for 11.5k. The thing had sold just before i called!!! hows your luck.
marzman
i chose the lower spec import as the jap satnav has a useless screen and crappy jap writing on it. So all i've lost out on is the leather seats - which i can get as a retrim at a later date.

cfoster
I'm in the same boat as you although my budget will hopefully be a little more (depending on what my insurance company decide to pay me). There are decent early UK ones about, and am sure some people will be more desperate to sell than others so you may bag a bargain!! adncd
Personally i'd say if its something you really love, hold out and save and get the car you want... dont just buy a cheap high milage car because you want one and cant wait a few months. i held back for the colour and spec that i loved, there were cheaper options but i would have regretted it. i would have always been saying to myself just save another month and i could have had what i wanted. at the minute prices are falling, hang on a little while and save a bit more and you should be able to get a low milage uk if thats what you want.
