Stez
Stop driving like a girl and use your Zed as it was meant to be used. Single figure mpg

Rob_Quads
I can get that sort of figure if i have been doing some motorway driving fairly easily. It will range between 32-34 on the motorway

Stez
Now that's either real quick driving or those pikey petrol thieves has been out your way!
Daaave
I worked out recently that on my current mileage, for every 1 mpg that I can increase my annual average by it saves me about £100. So I've been teaching myself to drive economically on the motorway/dual carriageway to work. They're boring roads and full of speed cameras so doing 65 isn't really that much of a difference. I'm now on a 33 mpg average
Ekona
33mpg? Where can I get one of those diesel Zeds?
p1tse
what are these showing, above the line - average mpg and below, distance covered?
Sarnie
First one is journey time/miles covered, second one is mpg/average speed
GlenMH
I had to fit the space saver spare in France and then drive 2 hours to Boulogne to get a new front tyre. 2 hours on the autoroute and down to the ferry at an average of 48 mph gave 34.7 mpg in a roadster. By god it was dull! Glen
max
Set my computer to zero before setting of to Scotland, miles covered 1150, average miles per gallon 23, average speed 49 and it only took five hours to get home which was around 360 miles. max. martinmac
Quite a nice suprise for me too Mark, saturdays figures were way better than expected.
andyvvc
I can squeeze 40 mpg from mine sitting at just under 60leptons in 6th with Cruise on. At 80mph (continent of course!) it will average 32mpg+ (again in 6th with cruise on) These are figures gleaned from resetting the trip MPG clock, then cruising for at least 10 miles so the MPG levels out. And yes - aggresive urban or agressive B road driving = 15MPG or less
Daaave
33mpg? Where can I get one of those diesel Zeds? Well take it with a pinch of salt, that's what's shown on the display. I need to check it between fills. It should be a good comparator though, I've gone up about 5mpg with more restrained driving.

martinmac
97 Ron gets me 33mpg over a 350 mile run on motorways if that helps bud.
Ebized
How many buy a ZED for fuel economy reasons? The number of threads that continue to pop up on the subject amaze me - I think of nothing more tedious than driving it with a pussy foot . When I turn the key on the ZED it is to enjoy what it does best . When I want fuel econmy I get in the wife's Jazz.
Randomfry
Lol well said, interesting to see whats possible though. I bought my car about a month ago and the guy was averaging 26mpg. Iddingtons
In my experience, 26 mpg was me behaving and 22 mpg was me ocassionally finding somewhere to play, with 17 mpg being when I was having lots of fun Id.
