Extended warranty

I was reading a post on pistonheads today which was basically a moan about Porsche changing their rules for extended warranty. Basically you must now own the car for six months before you can register for an extended warranty. This was to stop other independants taking the cars in and offering the full Porsche warranty.

Anyway, was talking to my friend about this tonight who works at the local dealers. He had a guy come in with a Boxster who had taken out a Tesco extended warranty, half the price of a Porsche one and it covers more issues.

May be worth thinking about.
