seanv1982
probably an idiotic question to most of you. this morning when i put my foot down at low revs and in 4th gear the revs went up very quickly and the exhaust note got louder. the car on the other hand didn't go much quicker and the revs soon dropped back down to match the speed of the car. when i got out the car later there was a faint smell of clutch. i assume this means a new clutch is needed but i thought i'd better ask you lot incase it's anything else
M13KYF
very possible, how many miles has your car done

M13KYF
sounds early for a new clutch. You drive is sensibly
bigphil
sounds like classic clutch slip although that is quite a low mileage to be needing a clutch. New Exedy clutch kit is £250 plus fitting
