Mine sits in the box in the middle (with the BT adaptor)

 

I don't need to see my phone when I drive, they can call me back if they really need me. I'd find it distracting.

 

It's unattractive too!

Its what I use - suits me fine having the phone and sat nav in a more discreet place than stuck hanging off the windscreen:

 

 

I use an extended lead (tucked out of sight along the central tunnel with a double socket velco fixed to the side carpet (see pic), which has the phone charging lead also serves a snooper. The passenger socket is then free for lap top or whatever. It can all be removed leaving no trace for when I do sell and its easy to change over the cradles on the Brodit to suit different phones.
