SAFC99
I had the clicking rear axle and got it sorted for £100, Nissan supplied the parts and i paid vic youngs 100 for labour. They claimed they were doing the full fix ie new half shafts on both sides, its 3 months since it was done and the clicking happens every time i pull away in reverse but only occasionally whilst going forward. Does any one have any ideah where i will stand with vic youngs, can i check through nissan what parts were oreded for my car to see if vic youngs has only re greased the axle? How long should the work be guaranteed for from Vic youngs, the car wasnt under warranty when the job was done.
GIXXERUK
seems very cheap, sounds as though they have just greased them afaik the new parts are revised and the clicking should not return if they are fitted, ask nissan what they supplied to vic young

I can't remember the exact figure but it was about £200. I don't think they would swap the CV joints unless you held their family hostage. I agree with the previous post and reckon they did the regreasing quick fix. They shouldn't have failed in 3mths because I've read online somewhere that Nissan recognised the inadequate original CV joint and now their part number is for an upgraded CV joint. SAFC99
any idea how i check up with Nissan as to what parts they supplied, one good thing i have kept the receipt and it clearly states half shaft replacment!
