DJsickboy
hello to all, I have just bought these wheels.. http://dev.pistonheads.com/sales/668141.htm Cheers Dan As you can see one for the front wheels has what looks to be slight scratches on the centre around the mounting holes.. On closer expection it actually looks like corrosion as the marks are white and follow the machine marks on the wheel.. (very straight lines) Any suggestions on how I can remove these? Are the wheels laquered in the centre? Apparently these rims are only 6 months old so I am suprised at this.. Any help would be massively appreciated.. Thanks Djay
Trev-the-Rev
That looks very much like corrosion and yes they are laquered. The only way to get rid is to have them refurbished. If they are only 6 months old and you have the original purchase invoice, you may be able to get something done under warranty.

I have just bought the wheels so I have contacted the previous owner... Do you know how much it would be to have it refurbed by any chance, or can anyone reccomend a company? Stew
Refurb is about 50 - 80 quid a wheel. You'd have to ask around to get someone that can match them very well.
