andrew.pacey
Hi All My warranty is due to expire at the end of the month. The dealer wants £695 to extend this for 1 year (Nissan Warranty). At purchase I was offered a year for £300 (Dealer Warranty) and I'm waiting to find out whether this offer is still available. What are peoples recommendations in terms of warranty extension? Are the warranties from RAC, AA worth looking into? Many thanks Andy.
Z Boy
Thinking about extending mine too as I've just got it and another years peace of mind would be quite good as I still don't fully "know" the car yet.

H5
I did the full 2 year through Nissan - not the cheapest, but the same cover as initial warranty. Nothing needed so far, but the parts alone for my gearbox work were £700......

Trev-the-Rev
Out of curiousity, what are the terms of purchase are you protected by law, ie for past the warranty time??? I don't think so. As far as I'm aware, once the manufacturer's warranty expires, their liability ends.

As far as I'm aware, once the manufacturer's warranty expires, their liability ends. That surprises me. Goodness perhaps NZ does have a few modern laws after all. Had one previously and they were limited to how much they pay out and even what they'd pay a mechanic per hour to do the work... Stay clear!!
