nurrish
hi Picking up my yellow 350z GT4 the weekend but it's a bit of a state(ill post pics soon) Any one know where to get second hand parts for the gt4(front bumper, side skirts, drivers door etc)? Or are they standard parts for a 350z's? You are gonna see a series of photos of before during and after! Will document the rebuild process for u all to see! Appreciate any help Cheers btw the inside is spotless!!! Mechanically its fine its just cosmetic damage
H5
Rebuild sounds scary!! It depends whether the car has the NISMO kit on. Do you have any pics you can put up now and we can tell you? If it hasn't got the kit, then all the bits listed should be the same on any Zed. Welcome to the club

Chesterfield
If your experience is anything like mine and another chaps from the forum, you are going to have some SERIOUS fun trying to get a perfect colour match on the pearl yellow. Your best bet would be to try and source some parts already done in Ultra Yellow (paint code E33 in case you need it) and hope that they are a good match. As for parts, if you are replacing the skirts and front bumper, then it may be cheaper to have aftermarket ones than new OEM ones supplied by Nissan. Welcome to the club Im sure there will be plenty of support to be found here and help getting the car looking the way you want it
Andy
Welcome!!! Build sounds interesting! Looking forward to the pictures! I have some Azure sideskirts if you are interested and potentially a front bumper as well. Bridges Breakers Yard have a drivers door. 01293 523684
GC350z
Front bumper, side skirts, drivers door? Sounds like a lot of effort. I hope you got a real good deal on it. Hate to think the cost of a door. Could guess the cost of bumper and skirts.
Trev-the-Rev
You could try some of the traders on here (Phil @ ESR and Kevin @ Envy) as they often have s/h panels for sale.

Beavis
to the forum, sounds an interesting project. Like others have said get some pics up. Might be an idea to open up a photobucket account, upload your pics there then copy and paste the link into a post here.
Beavis
Jeez Obviously both front wing and bumper/skirts want replacing, may be drivers door. What about the bonnet? You may get a second hand rear light of someone off here The biggest problem is going to be matching the paint like Chris said. You have a big job on your hands. Chesterfield
Good lord you have a project there Knowing how tricky it was to get a colour match on the few bodykit parts I had fitted, I would seriously suggest that on this project you just have the whole car done. You are replacing that many parts that matching them will just be pointless if not impossible. In which case you may as well just buy the parts in any colour you can find. Skirts and front bumper will be standard - just make sure you dont get the import bumper as it wont have the holes for the headlamp washers. Rear wing you may get away with, in fact lets hope you do, as cutting in a new one will be a nightmare. The A pillar looks slightly damaged on the driver side. There are clip on/off covers on the A pillars, so these could be replaced, or you could buy carbon covers if you really wanted, though on the A pillar Im not too sure about the look. Front wings will also be a standard item across the Z range, but take the Z emblems off the side, I believe these may be slightly different on the GT4, though I havent paid that much attention. Id contact the traders on the forum here and see if they can lay their hands on the parts you need. Im sure they will be able to help you out. Sarnie
How can there be no mechanical damage with all that damage around the wheel?

Ekona
How can there be no mechanical damage with all that damage around the wheel? +1 I'd be concerned about the door shut line as well, all 7" of it. Must've been a Cat D at least (or C: Is that what the C on the windscreen refers to?) I'm guessing from those pics.
nurrish
How can there be no mechanical damage with all that damage around the wheel? Yeah that was my main concern....im going to investigate more. Got a hpi check on it and it came back with CAT C. But i have been told it was a CAT D. Lucky for me though i haven't paid the remaining balance yet going to see it Thursday to give it the final check over. Also taking my uncle who is a specialist in wrecks and recoveries. Will keep you all updated

Ekona
Got a hpi check on it and it came back with CAT C. But i have been told it was a CAT D. Go with the HPI, and if it is a Cat C I hope you got it for a ridiculous price (like £5K). Given how many decent cheap Zeds (admittedly not many GT4s) are around nowadays, I would personally let it go and find myself a nice straight example. Good luck with the work if you do keep it, lots of update pics please!

The yellow GT4 is my ideal Z and there's not many yellow ones around for less than 18k ] So once ive checked it properly i'll have a good idea of what the costs are involved in repairing it. I could end up with a real cheap GT4 but only time will tell. thanks for your input though
Digsy
As long as you're sure that its not cheaper to respray a good Zed yellow, good luck to you!
