stanski
The obligatory tartan rug also - oh Mart where's your Morris minor? Or is that with the roof down on the Zed in winter? Bet you smoke a pipe then - got to fit in with the image - a Deerstalker would be good also!
Stew
I have an orbital machine. Porter Cable 7424 (referred to as the PC) it's a pretty decent machine if used correctly. I don't have the guts to use a rotary on any car and I don't do too much correction work to be honest. When I do it's normally pretty decent though! Still not that cheap. Stew
Chicago Pneumatics. Nice. I just haven't tried one on a car..... I'll try to 'master' the PC first.
stanski
That looks like my Bosch angle grinder!!! Just a case of fitting the pad and sponge - obviously remove the grinder disc first!! Good luck with it chaps - I may even do before and after pics when I tackle the van again - this time with some Farcela G3 (Mer does work well with the Aldi polisher and is failry gentle - too gentle for my van's former graphics on the side panels.) nixy
being a white van man, do you ever get people writing 'clean me' or other strange obsenities in the dirt?
martinmac
being a white van man, do you ever get people writing 'clean me' or other strange obsenities in the dirt? Think he has started driving faster now Nic so they cant keep up to write too much
stanski
Oi cheeky bugga's !! My van is usually quite clean as a rule - sad but true! I have it wired to the mains overnight so if anyone tries to write anything on it they end up with an instant Afro hairstyle! After topping up the engine oil and putting Redex in the tank its actually starting to pick up speed these days which means I look authentic on the road - just need to tailgate people and deposit that copy of the Sport on the dash and remains of bacon butty next to it! GIXXERUK
buy an orbital polisher NOT a rotary, this will not burn the paint and requires a lot less skill something like a G220, Porter Cable or a Udm

Stew
My PC is great. It's hard going after a full detail though as there are a lot of vibrations. Great piece of kit though.
