dcash5
Hi guys, Just a quick one hopefully, what is the best stuff for firstly cleaning the engine plastics and secondly keeping them looking new. Obv alot of the trim dealers dont work very well due to the heat of the engine bay, unfortunately my plastics have got a very dulled almost greyed out look to them now
Stew
Aero 303 or something....... I think it's good. Check what the Clark used on the lambo detail I posted yesterday. I use Megs ASP on trim but haven't used it on the engine, not sure if it works.
Ekona
I use AutoGlym Tyre Shine spray. Just spray liberally onto anything black and leave to dry for a gloss finish, or wipe clean for a matte one. Lasts for months, and is so easy to do.
ECLIPSE AUTO VALET
theres so many products out there to chose from , as long as you keep on top of it should be ok whatever you decide to use , like you said the heat factor comes into it , but once a week will be enough
jim
I have used Back-to-Black or similar products on engine plastics for years quite successfully.

dcash5
Yeah I have the various meg's CoughAGcough (sorry had to hide that) and usual b2b but stuff seems to last only a week for so. Stew
Nothing wrong with AG products. The megs stuff I'm using is in the 'detailing' range. Can only buy it in gallons and is very good. I'll try it on the engine plastics next time. I use it around my Motorbike exhaust and engine and holds up fine so think it'd be good on engine plastics too....
