SwissZ
Before I go and bother my garage again.... Was in a car park, went from a half right lock to a full left lock pulling into a space and the power steering appeared to pack in. Steering became very heavy and I ended up half a space away from where I was aiming for. There were no strange noises or anything Anyone else experienced this? I've got 19"s on but I woudn't expect them to be the cause. Cheers Mark

Toon Chris
Def check the fluid level. Presuming it is working again now you may have got an air-lock if it is a bit low, or you have a leak. Check the fluid is clean too.
SwissZ
Ah, yes. I forgot to mention it's been fine since. Haven't checked the fluid level so I'll get on to that. How would I identify/get rid of an air lock? Cheers

How would I identify/get rid of an air lock? Cheers To bleed out any air, start the engine and turn the steering wheel fully from side to side slowly. This will force the air into the reservoir and out of the system. .
