greido
I know the 350z is limited to 155mph, does anyone know the potential top speed if derestricted? Has anyone had theirs de-restricted? Gordon
Beavis
IIRC its 167-168mph if it is possible to de-restrict a UK car.
GIXXERUK
iirc its geared to run to approx 176mph

Stew
Or if it's DA WHIP 220mph is easily achievable. What those guys said. Should be about able to touch 170.
sunset350z
Ok the burning question, can it be derestricted?
jim
Ok the burning question, can it be derestricted? If it's a JDM, yes. If it's a UK model, pass - maybe somebody else will know.
Beavis
Do you need to go faster than 155 mph
sunset350z
Do you need to go faster than 155 mph Not really but IF it could be done, then we wouldn`t need twin turbos and the like to go quicker
kingbiscuit
The 6th gear in 350z will do 185.6mph The engine wont though I bet for a gearing table. OEM 6spd Manual Transmission: 3.5 5spd Auto Transmission: 3.2 http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Part:Fin ... _Gear_Sets

Removing the limiter would be nice to say 'my car does 175 mph' BUT who would do it? I doubt any track in the UK would see you at 155.... 3FIDDYZ
they have been known to hit 155 on the banked circuit at Millbrooke........
AK350Z
I think i recall a 350 choptop maxing out at 148 at VMAX. With the hood up anyway.
Stew
they have been known to hit 155 on the banked circuit at Millbrooke........ Fair dos. I stand corrected. If going in a circle trying to reach top speed is classed as track driving......

sunset350z
It was a quick burst early morning no traffic and a straight road
clarkie34
When i bought mine the salesman said that if the limiter was removed it would do 165 and thats a uk car. He didnt need to tell me that as i had already bought the car.

And no the circle isnt track driving but it is great fun!!
GIXXERUK
I`ve done 155 on a ummm derestricted road Well I hope you are a better driver than me then...... the speedo wont be that accurate at the speed done 150 and it felt planted

Madmarky
the speedo wont be that accurate at the speed done 150 and it felt planted indeed, I did 155 according to speedo which was about 5K revs in 6th gear and my GPS said i was doing 149 so the speedo is a little out as expected, that was with standard wheels and tyres. I think this is what killed my clutch as id only owned it for 4 days and the gear changing was a bit messy
sinbad
I saw 155 on the clock of my jdm. and it felt it had more
