Mr A
its an idea that needs more information to develope, but thinking about 20" alloys on my Z, However, when i look at my standard 18" rays, doesnt look like theres much room for 20's under those arches, 19's would just about fit. does anyone have 20's on thier Z, if so, what offset, tyre sizes and alloy width will work? also, the drawbacks! Mr A
I have 20s ah brilliant, did you have any trouble with them? also, what width and tyres are you using?
martinopy
I only put my 20s on my car on fri and they went on no bother and that was with eibachs fitted, there is no rubbing even on a bumpy road and I can still get full lock on the steering. Stew
No probs whatsoever with them. No rubbing and I think a nice stance. I think it fills the arches nicely too. Although I'm sure Sarnie thinks it needs spacers!
Andy
The Z will swallow 20's no problem at all. I am on my 3rd set of 20's now and not had a problem with any of them. The latest ones are an et20 all round and sit very nicely in the standard arches running 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear on an 8.5 & a 10J. My Z hasn't been lowered....yet. This was the first set...FOX RS8's Second set were the Boss Penta's...the same as Stuey's
Mr A
They look amazing, all of them. i think ill have to take a picture of the distance between the tyre & arch on my z, think my car may have been lowered by the previous owner, or maybe the uk spec ones comes slightly lowered then the other specs. either way, ill try sticking on some pictures later and hopefully, you can all let me know if it looks normal for the gap between my arch and tyres to look as it does. so far, thanks for helping me see some 20/20 vision. Digsy
Remember that as long as you get the right profile tyre the rolling radius should be the same, so the fact that its 20" shouldn't make a difference as to whether they fit. On the other had your choice of width and offset will dictate whether they fit, particularly as you're lowered.
GIXXERUK
the main draw back is that that the car will ride harder as the smaller the profile on the tyre the less shock absorbance and give worth it imo
