Dale350z
I want a loudish exhaust which has decent bass to it but gives a sound which will make my hairs stand on end. I want something which will give the V6 justice and make me smile? What you got guys?
GIXXERUK
its a personal thing, its difficult to give an opinion on what is best really depends on your needs/wants what about motorway driving do you care if it gets a bit of a headache ? Lexx
lol. Everyone here will tell you their exhaust is the best! Best thing to do is get to a meet and have a listen to them and then make your mind up.
Ian
The GReddy Ti-C single exit is the worst exhaust you can buy, really not worth it

Guest prescience
Gixxer, I'm surprised at you - you can't be recommending a purchase based on a Youtube video
GIXXERUK
Gixxer, I'm surprised at you - you can't be recommending a purchase based on a Youtube video no and you would need 650bhp, internals upgraded, a blow off valve and couple of buckets for turbo's to get that sound sound is much too personal a choice to ever recommend imo

Stew
Something that needs to be considered is if you are interested in FI applications then your exhaust requirements might be different. I think you need to have a good chat with a reputable tuner and get sorted out as to what you want / need before purchasing anything. M13KYF
it's all down to personal choice. Find the one you really like the sound of then go from there
Mr A
Ive got a custom magnaflow exhaust, its loud, has a nice bass when in low revs and a smooth high pitched note at higher revs. tbh, i also like the dc sports exhaust and also the nismo, might not be as loud as you think, but a y-pipe, high flow cats or decat pipes and you've got yourself the sound and feeling you're after. i would recommend magnaflow, still been smiling since i bought it, but would also suggest superior brands like nismo & dc sports if you can stretch the budget. bobby
i changed my y-pipe....the exhaust sounds louder, deeper and mroe free flowing now...throttle response is better.....best mod for exhaust if you like the stock sound!!!! plus...the y-pipe change is needed if you want to upgrade to any other exhaust (unless true dual)....so give it a go if you are on a budget! IanS16
Yeah, i had stock Y pipe with the Fujitsubo. Glad i upgraded it though, it does sound a lot throatier!

matth76
Call me stupid but what is the Y-pipe? Is it the same as the backbox? Do most aftermarket exhausts not have their own backbox/Y-pipe?
Stew
Y pipe is the bit that combines the gas flow from the the two exhaust manifolds into one pipe that leads to the back box. True dual exhausts don''t have a y pipe. Hope that's clear as mud!
matth76
Cheers Stew. Do most aftermarket exhaust come with their own Y-Pipe or is the stock one used?
