Schrodinger
Hi all Just wondering, with all this nice warm weather, is there any way of locking the car without alarming it? I'd like to leave the windows down a bit so it's not too scorchio when I get in to drive home, but not sure how to avoid the alarm going off all the time... Ta v much! Rob_Quads
Use the key? Pretty sure that will lock it but not arm it
Schrodinger
Hmm, tried that and the alarm still went off when I was five paces away - thanks though! I fear I may have no option but to read the manual...
Gus
Press the button on the inside of the door, then shut it ! Left mine for 7 weeks in this state so the alarm didnt run the battery down
Schrodinger
Cool, that sounds a plan... presume locking the keys in at this point isn't wise though... Ta v much!

No I didn't leave my windows down for 7 weeks, as it was on the drive not in a garage, but this will work if someone wants their car locked with the windows down and the alarm not enabled. Sarnie
So does pressing the button just manually lock the door and totally de-activate the alarm/ immobiliser?
