Jacko
Has anyone got any experience of these? http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/shop ... 1090625640 Just looking at alternatives for the lack of phone support on the existing car kits (pre 06)..... and this has been suggested by a car phone specialist. If they are any good, then I have started laying some groundwork about negotiating a discount for this forum that I can speak to one of the moderators about.... Looking for any feedback at the moment to see if its worthwhile. Mark
Removed
afaik I've never seen one of those on a Z, that's not to say it can't be done though!
Jacko
Aye it can be. Its a pretty simple implementation to be honest. Don't use anything to do with the existing kit or the existing wiring loom.... It just uses Bluetooth to integrate with your phone. Its only the display that gets mounted and can be removed easily enough. The only thing that it uses is a wire that attaches into the stereo to mute if a call comes through and uses the car speakers to provide sound. They've done a few allegedly....... just wondering if anyone had actually used one of the Parrot products.
stevie_350z
I splashed out on a TomTom 700 at the weekend - integrates with my phone nicely! And fits in the cubby hole. Nice!
davidbaker8130
I have this fitted in my car. A wiring loom adapter can be used between the stereo and the Parrot control unit so that the unit is effectively plug and play. (I am waiting for a price for the loom adaptor for any forum member that might be after one.) The mic clips on to the A pillar cover and the display can be mounted in a variety of different places to suit the driver. I'll post some pics later in the week. davidbaker8130
There's not much to see really. The control box sits behind the heater controls. The sound is deafening when static but is perfect when moving. My electronics fella is going to do a little bit of jiggery pokery to sort the volume levels, then I'll offer the loom adapter etc to forum members. P.S. Val, don't be so bloody impatient!! Tee hee.
