Differences between vq35DE & vq35HR (313bhp lump)

Hi

I know it's early days for the vq35HR (313bhp lump), having only been released the latter half of 2007, but are the internals (pistons etc) stronger and more reliable than the earlier vq35DE (276-296bhp) lump? Which lump can reliably withstand the most bhp/torque?

Thanks for any info.

Yes, some of the internals are different including pistons.

Both are good up to maximun of 400 bhp providing you have complete control over ignition and fuel but longevity will be a big issue on both the DE and the HR on standard internals over 400 hp.

When someone on here confidently asserts "both are good..up to X,Y,Z" it would be awesome to have some data/evidence... otherwise I, and probably others, just ignore it as Yet Another Opinion

What evidence would you like mate ?

What I posted previously was my own personal experiences and not another opinion.

I have pushed these engines beyond the limit in N/A, Supercharged and Twin Turbo format.

What data would you like me to produce ?
