Kennydies
My other half just bought a new car and I have advised her that she cant use her old crap car cleaning products on new paint work. What website sells Meguiars kit at a resonable rate, looked at the vallet store earlier and it was down.

Stew
To be honest best to get advice on what you need as meguiars are not always the best for the look you want to achieve. Also going to a specialist you'll get better (and sometimes cheaper) products. I bought Megs detailing shampoo on http://www.polishedbliss.com advice and it is very good. It is huge so it works out way cheaper than gold class shampoo. Gold glass also strips wax. Best to get expert advice in my opinion. There are a list of links on the site. Cool Hand Luke
Good advice Stew - i use a wide variety of products from different companies to get the best results rather than just sticking to the one. (P.S. Pretty sure Gold Class Shampoo doesnt strip wax Stew)
jim
Gold glass also strips wax. Not if you use it sparingly. Most people throw far too much into the bucket and get too high a concentration.
Kennydies
It is not an expensive car but a sponge is a no no, wanted a lambs woll mit, drying towel, wax/applicator and buffing cloth. I know you cant use polish on a new car for a couple of month, just wondered what the cheapest was?
Stew
Well that's the right stuff to use kenny! Two buckets, a couple of mitts. I use wool on the body and microfibre on the wheels and the rest sounds fine! If the car has been prepared correctly that just wax it. I was told it does strip wax but could be in high concentrations. It gives a great shine but I was advised against it by a friend and professional detailer that I trust! The stuff I bought works out about 20% of the cost and is awesome!
