zedproud
After completing a 50 mile drive recentley in my 55 zed,i pulled up outside my house to let my wife out and when the door was open there was an extremely loud rattleing noise coming from under the car.I then drove the car another 50 metres or so and the noise had disapeared.Could this be the clutch release or thrust bearing?the car has only covered 10000 miles and no other clutch symptoms are apparent.Has anyone experienced the same problem? GIXXERUK
difficult to say if it was the thrust bearing, its very possible as they are an issue on the zed, if it does it again dip the clutch - if the noise goes it likely to be the bearing
TT Convert
Hello there, I have just purchased my first Z, I have had a simerlar noise from under the car, when its stood idle and not moving there is clunk 2or3 times then it rests for a few seconds then it happens again, it seems to be in time with a pop from the exhaust. any ideas anybody Also When the clutch isnt engaged thers no noise from it but when its dipped theres a very slight rubbing from the clutch, is this normal in the Z ? Ebized
Sounds like you have a well known sympton - example here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7151 I had the noise on my 2004 ZED (at times) but no probs from it for the 15 months or so I had that one - so far the 2006 ZED I have is...... quiet Nothing to really worry about it seems
