Jabba66
Hi guys. Thought I would sign up to the forum as I was thinking of buying a 350Z. I currently have a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T, and while it is a lot of fun to drive, starting to maybe look at getting something different. Any advice and experience you can offer me on the 350Z would be great such as performance gains, body styling etc. Thankyou in advance, Jabba66
H5
Welcome to the site. Take a look in the FAQ and other sections for the core info. Tuneability is limited short of going FI, body styilng goes from the sublime to the ridiculous, and we have good suppliers with forum offers / discounts to help too. Stew
There are plenty of styling options available. Performance I'm afraid is a little more difficult. The Zed has a self correcting ECU so it cancels out any N/A mods. Turbo and supercharger conversions can be done at a cost 10k+ to do it all properly. Most stick on an exhaust and filter and enjoy the noise! On a different note the running costs I'd have thought will be less than your R33 so that has to be a bonus! There is a nice twin turbo roadster gone up for sale today though if that takes your fancy.......

I think the tunning potential and performance would be the biggest difference between my Skyline and buying a 350Z, as the Skyline is very easy to tune for fairly little money. I am currently running 322bhp, and the runnning costs are pretty terrible. How do you find the 350Z in stock form in terms of performance? H5
280 - 313ps depending what age / variant you get, 20-25mpg for most people and it gets round the TG track as quick as the (allegedly) 60bhp higher powered M3. But the sound it makes while it does it!!
M13KYF
Have a read about, you'll find plenty of helpful info
Stew
Well that's why most don't bother too much! It's very expensive to get big bhp from it. The most important thing to do is drive it. Remember though that there is no turbo. There is loads of torque and it builds up speed quickly but in a different manner. It really is a car you can chuck a suitcase into and tour about! a great GT car.

Jabba66
Thankyou all very much for the warm welcomes guys. Looks like I may have to go for that test drive then Was looking at the prices of the 350Z's and noticed that buying an import is considerably cheaper than buying a UK model. From your experience, is there that much difference in buying an import; what are the pros and cons?
P15UL T
welcome to the forum, pretty sure there is a pro and cons of buying imports on the forum somewhere...im sure someone will dig it up Paul
