ab350z
Folks, just taken delivery of a clear bumper markers and clear rear bumper lense covers and silvertec bulbs but was wondering, is there any way to get rid of the amber reflector that looks to be embedded in the light housing? I've not removed the light to have a look so thought I'd ask first if its possible?
Stew
Yes...... if you send it away or bake the light in the oven you can remove it. Not sure what's underneath though!
ab350z
Cheers Stew, I thought it might involve some heating, did the same to remove amber sections of my old Prelude lights, parents weren't overly pleased at me cooking lights in the oven. Not sure the oven in my flat is big enough actually. Is there a guide anywhere?
Stew
As I said I'm not sure what is underneath the strips. Not sure if it's smooth..... I saw a guide on one of the american sites. It was good actually...... Have a search. The light units are big!
GIXXERUK
this is covered on 350z.com, not something i would attempt due to the cost if you over cook them
