Trev-the-Rev
Hi and I had a CTR before my Zed and find the biggest difference is in rear tyre wear - average about 8000 miles from a pair on the Zed, and fuel consumption average around 24. Servicing is much the same as is insurance. cheers fella its good to hear from someone who was in my position moving up from a ctr. can you explain to me the service prices, how much is a p1 p2 and p3 service cheers It will depend to a large extent on where you take it. If it's still under manufacturer's warranty you will probably need to go to a main dealer, if not, then an independent specialist is the preferred option. Wessex in Cardiff charge £210 P1, £286 P2 and £370 P3. If you want to go to an independent specialist, pm Ian as he knows of someone in Swansea I think. M13KYF
prices Trev has listed seem expensive but it does seem to be more expensive in London. Perhaps S Wales is the same. In the North West you can get a P1 for £120 and a P2 for £170 (supplying your own oil) not had a P3 yet

nixy
Hi there - i also went from a CTR to the Z. I used to spend about £40 a week on fuel and now I spend about £50 for the same miles but it's worth every extra penny.
Ebized
All you need to do is walk down to the Nissan Dealer, sit in a 350z, close the door, feel the leather steering wheel then turn the key and hear the noise on start up, honestly that will convince if nothing else does!!! +1 and if dosen't start that's because you haven't depressed the clutch pedal
janz70
Hi and welcome, you cant beat the Zed for putting a smile on your face or getting admiring looks from other drivers, yes the tax is expensive £400 plus (mines a 2005 import and they still did me for top road tax rate based on my emissions even though its registered as a plg DVLA winkers - bit of a sore point) if its an english car you should get cheaper road tax as long as its registered before March 2006 - I think You'll do about 18-20 mpg about town and about 30mpg on the m/way. Insurance varies depending on age but try bell for a quote Servicing isnt that expensive considering the car that it - every year or 9K miles p1= £200ish P2= £250ish p3= £300ish The paint is waffer thin , the interior is pritty plastic fantastic and it goes through tyres like nobodys business but drive it and you'll forget all about that. Cheeky swine! Run man, RUUUUUUN! We'll distract Nixy for ya while you escape I came from a Leon FR, not a CTR, but they were considered rivals by many. Used to get 30-35MPG in that and get 28-32MPG doing the same driving in the Zed. During the Wales run I dont think I manged to give it enough beans as I found it very frugal! Something like 30MPG across the weekend!
Stew
I was behind chris most of the weekend and didn't push it! If you like the real revvy bit of the CTR then you might not like the Zed as the power is far more relaxed and progressive, it makes silly speeds at much lower revs. Very different cars but The Zed is better.....
