dunker
Has anyone tried or would reccomend using this technique? I have a lovel door rash pimple on my rear wheel arch!! For those that aren't in the know, apparently the super cold temperaturs of the ice cause the metal to contract and hence the dent simply vanishes with no damege to the paintwork! lomoto
I'd like to see that in action me being totally cynical about magic remedies
AndySpak
Sounds feasible in principal... not sure how wel the paint will withstand the cold temperatures though.

martinmac
check this link out.... http://www.videojug.com/film/dent-removal-technique The physics of it cerainly seem sound, would be well woth a test on something a little cheaper. I am a bit like Tim, need to see it to believe it

dunker
In my search for the "truth" I found another website singing the praises of dry ice in the removal of dents and hail stone damage.... so for all you non-believers out there.... http://www.dryiceinfo.com/other.htm

M13KYF
somem parts of the rear wheel arch are double skinned so it's not doable the traditional route. Dry ice is worth a go. Would love to know if its successful. Reading the blurb on dry ice it sounds like it's not 100% perfection though. I have to say that Dave at Denttec has always performed miracles. sl114
I can see how the theory is possible, however i just dont think it will work, i like to be proved wrong though
dunker
well if it is successful, a man with a large bag of dry ice at JTS and JAE could make a fair few pennies....
jim
I need something like this now - some barsteward put a dent in my passenger door in the station car park today. Anybody ever tried to push out small dents like that themselves?
M13KYF
only used a professional. Did a grand job mind. I do think their is rather a good amount of skill required
jim
That's what I thought, too. Must try Dent-tec or Dent Master or Chips Away - spoiled for choice really.
Rob_Quads
Just tried this one some of the dings on my door. These are all really small pin style dents where people have opened thier door. Unfortunately it made no difference. I suspect it works much better for large dents
kingbiscuit
I heard you can use a hairdryer on the dent to heat it u, then use a compressed can of carbon dioxide or oxygen to do the same thing. I think you can get a can of gassed air to clean your computer keyboard from any PC store. And I remember that boots used to sell pure oxygen in a can (for medicinal reasons methinks). Gets you high too!
kingbiscuit
Actually Butane would probably do the trick and thats avaiable from most newsagents as lighter refill.
