Post induction kit

After buying a 350Z at the weekend, which already has an excellent high flow Cobra exhaust fitted, I installed a K&N induction kit today. Throttle response has improved noticeably. Should I now have the ECU remapped, or just commit to the 'pedal dance?'

I am a complete Z newbie, but have a decent DIY car maintenance knowledge, so any helpful suggestions welcome.

PS, I absolutely love the car and once I've finished some other minor tweaks she will be going round Cadwell. Does this group ever book a Z day up there or any other circuit?

I would take it for mapping after you've finished installing any additional mods you have planned, for instance a plenum spacer or high flow cats (assuming your current Cobra system is catback), that way you hit all the birds with one stone.

Not sure about track days but I'm sure you could get a few people together who would be up for it, normally the guys on here do the main shows (JapFest, JDM Combe etc.) We also have a yearly summer meet at our TORQEN HQ which is full of Z's and other JDM cars.

Here if you need help with any parts, we specialise in Z's and offer anything from OEM parts all the way up to full body kits & forced induction kits.

Enjoy your new Z

Thanks for that, not heard of plenum spacer, I'd be interested on more information on that? High flow Cobra cats too, so that's it for mods for me, BC racing coil overs too and flat back rota tech wheels, so remap to balance everything, not really wanting any more power, I have an M4 in the garage for anything faster!! 😜
