Roadster

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Use to own the 350z and loved it. Now on the look out for a 370z roadster. There's one for sale on autotrader with a front bump. The other end of the country from me, wondering why it's not gone yet, has anyone viewed it? Expensive fix? Thanks

I would say that it isn't a very expensive fix. It looks like you would need a new bonnet, wing, bumper, washer bottle and headlight. although they are the Morimoto headlights, I don't know if you can buy just 1. So you might need a pair of headlights, they will be quite expensive... It looks quite nice other than that. I would want to see more pictures from the owner. It looks like they haven't gone through their insurance, they're just selling it for someone to fix up. So no category S or N.

Agree with Andy, however buyer beware.

It looks like the chassis leg is okay,

Perhaps also factor in potential damage behind the bumper, coolant radiator, aircon radiator/condenser, crash bar, carbon composite front/landing panel, wheel/tyre damage, air bag deployment, dash warning lights, etc etc.

Car would require a full inspection before splashing the cash, might be a bargain but there again it might not.

That car will cost more than £10k to return to formal glory. Just by looking at the photos:

- headlights

- bonnet

- front bumper

- crash sensor on DS, potentially harness as well

- radiator core support bracket

- various metallic brackets behind the bumper and headlight

- headlight washer bottle

- pedestrian pop up hood actuators - extremely expensive

- crash data ECU to be erased

- bonnet hinges - bent while the actuators have deployed

- various bumper accessories - emblem, tow hook cover, headlamp jet washer cover, bracket and clips, front number plate

- labour: stripping, prepping, installing and spraying parts

Even £1000 will be too much for it, buy one that hasn't been crashed.
