New 350z owner

Hello all,

 

Just wanted to drop a quick message to say hello! Just picked up a 350z convertible last week and the drive home was great! Got a good deal on a 55 plate 2005. Has slight bubbling on o/s/r arch and a rather rusty exhaust.

 

First few jobs will be a new set of rear tyres and polish the n/s headlight as slightly discoloured.

 

I am looking to replace the exhaust as current one is the original and rather rusty. As its the convertible version, is the exhaust different and what options do I have other than "standard". Could do with something that sounds a little better.

The exhaust is identical on the convertible and coupe. There's tons of options out there, the most popular being the Invidia Gemini since it improves the sound but isn't too ASBO.

In my opinion, the TORQEN Zorst sounds the best, removes a lot of the rasp and 'trumpety' sound which VQ's are known for due to the Helmz resonators on the back box section as well as a resonated Y-Pipe.

I certainly don't want ASBO loud but a better tone would be good. i will have a look at the links later.
