Jonnio
I've recently picked up a 350z and am completely new to them. I'm trying to fit a set of "OE Spec" non genuine handles. I've removed the handle on the car, which I originally thought was a cheap black aftermarket part, but looks like it's actually an original metal handle painted black. I've removed the lock barrel which has 3 locating lugs at 9, 12 and 3 o'clock, slots into the original handle perfectly and the bracket section that you bolt to the handle sits flush against the captive nuts and key hole. The replacement handle has 2 locating recesses for the lock barrel at 9 and 3 o'clock and so does not slot in and doesn't allow the bracket section to sit flush. The key face of the barrel is close to the key hole slot despite this so I feel that there must be a different lock/barrel out there that this handle works with. Can anyone confirm if there are different lock shapes/depths between UK cars? Am I doing something completely stupid? The car is on a 55 plate / DE engined. I'll get some pics up. I've email the supplier asking if these need modifying to fit and they've said no modification is needed and sent me a picture of them fitted to one of their own cars. P15UL T
I think the DE and HR handles have this slight difference. I'm sure I've came across it before
