Hi All,

TORQEN is turning 10, and we couldn’t be prouder of the journey we’ve shared with you.

On 24th December 2014, I started as a small operation in a garage at home, after being asked by various friends and members in here to help sourcing parts for their cars while I was playing with my own JDM cars. It all started on this very forum, hence why I thought I should post this in here. Back then, I handled everything—from creating the brand, logo and website to managing customer service, marketing, logistics and IT. Storage space was limited, so I used an external unit for stock, in one of my other businesses at the time.

Then, on 23rd January 2017, disaster struck when a fire engulfed the Wembley facility. Our stock units were spared the flames, but water damage created chaos. We worked tirelessly with insurers to salvage what we could, reorganised and kept you informed every step of the way. We appreciated your patience during what was an incredibly challenging time.

As the years rolled on, we faced new obstacles. Brexit created waves across the economy, with exchange rates for USD/GBP, EUR/GBP and JPY/GBP fluctuating unpredictably. Exports to Europe became more complex, and the slowdown affected trade across the board. On 20 September 2019, we moved into our current warehouse—a significant step forward. But no sooner had we settled in than Covid-19 hit. The pandemic brought its own challenges with delays, disrupted supply chains and uncertainty at every turn.

In recent years, we’ve battled through the cost-of-living crisis and soaring double-digit inflation. The war in Gaza added another layer of complexity, with shipping routes from the Far East rerouted around Africa instead of the Suez Canal, resulting in higher costs and longer delays. Despite all this, we’ve kept moving forward.

One of our proudest achievements has been reintroducing iconic Japanese brands to Europe. At a time when the market became saturated with poorly fitting, low-quality replica body kits, we stayed true to our vision of offering authentic, high-quality products. We partnered with trusted Japanese manufacturers who value craftsmanship, ensuring you receive products that respect the legacy of these iconic names.

Over the past decade, we’ve shipped more than 100,000 orders from the UK to over 50 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, South Africa, Serbia, Reunion Island, Mauritius, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Thailand and Malaysia. It’s been incredible to see TORQEN parts reach so many enthusiasts around the world.

In the USA, TORQEN products are available through our exclusive distributor and long-term partner, Concept Z Performance. This partnership has allowed us to bring our products to American customers with the same focus on quality and service that defines TORQEN.

We also make it a priority to stay connected with our suppliers. Every November, we travel to Las Vegas for the SEMA Show, exploring new trends, strengthening relationships and securing exciting deals. Every January, we head to Tokyo Auto Salon, meeting our partners in Japan and discovering the latest innovations. These trips are a cornerstone of how we keep TORQEN at the forefront of the industry.

On the ground, our team helps keep everything running smoothly. In UK, myself and Coz - our General Manager - oversee day to day and stragegic operations. Jack, our Head of Operations in China, oversees manufacturing for our branded products—exhausts, intakes, big brake kits, high-flow cats, FRP and carbon body kits and silicone hoses. Jack regularly visits factories, working directly with teams to maintain the quality you expect from TORQEN. He also comes to the UK every year for in-depth meetings where we review the past year and plan for the future.

Our product management and development teams play a vital role in ensuring we continue to deliver quality and innovation. Based in Romania, our product management team is led by Denis. They work tirelessly to keep product descriptions, photos and prices accurate and up to date, ensuring you always have the most reliable information when shopping with us. Our development team, also in Romania and led by Sandu, is currently focused on the challenging migration to a new platform. This monumental task is designed to improve your shopping experience, and we can’t wait to unveil the results.

In Japan, our colleague Kay manages our partnerships with local manufacturers, handling everything from logistics to factory orders and ensuring smooth exports to the UK. We meet every year in Tokyo to ensure these relationships remain strong and productive, giving you the best of Japanese engineering and design.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about what’s next. Our main website torqen.uk, while remaining JDM focused is moving to a new platform and we’ve launched dedicated shops to make your experience even better:
    •   greddy.uk
    •   pandem.uk
    •   osgiken.uk
    •    spl.parts
    •    veilside.uk
    •    braum.uk
    •    tomei.uk

We’re also expanding with two exciting new brands:
    •    DEXAR, focused on exotic and supercar carbon body kits
    •    VORMAX Performance, dedicated to European cars like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari, and Lotus
