Feeney
Hi all, acquired a 2009 370z gt and the MOT failed due to the front lower braces crumbling. Anyone on here have either OEM or aftermarket bars that I can purchase? All suppliers I’ve tried say 2 month wait. But car is in the garage and ideally need them asap. like these: https://ultraracingshop.com/products/ultra-racing-front-lower-brace-las6-1446p?rq=mk_nissan~md_370z~bg_3-7~yr_2009 help much appreciated james
ShortPaul
Hi Horsham development that's where I would try
Andy_Muxlow
Hi James, Maybe you could have them removed for now and get them fitted when they're back in stock? If they're not there they can't fail an MOT.
Coz@TORQEN
Hi James, I know you already messaged us but do you have some photos of the braces in question? Just realised the Ultra Racing listing you're looking at aren't OEM braces, they're additional to what comes on the car as standard. I've attached a photo below of the underneath of our 370z demo car along with a Nissan parts schematic showing the OE braces in that area. The Ultra Racing brace you linked looks to go on top of the pre-existing OEM braces as additional support.
Feeney
Thanks you getting back me on this! Much appreciated. @Andy_Muxlow I assume they are needed to pass an MOT/safe to drive! Have you removed yours in the past or suggested this from experience? @Coz@TORQEN I’ve scoured the internet and this has to be the hardest part of the car to source quickly lol. The aftermarket braces that I’ve found replace the OEM brackets: 544C4 and 544C5 in that (very useful!) diagram. I’ve attached an image where the OEM parts are gone. Spoke to garage and they said it’s fine to do a straight swap to these aftermarket ones. Looks like I will have to put in an order and wait till January to get it on the road. Bit of a shame, good things come to those who wait 😂

Hi James, I haven't on my 370Z but I did have my W brace removed from my 350Z, well it wasn't there when I bought her. Passed both MOT's without.
